The Social Climbers arrived at Havasu Springs, AZ throughout the week of our annual Havasu Run. Unfortunately, Richard & I missed a few days of four wheeling by arriving late afternoon on Friday. After joining the group for cocktails and dinner, we settled in for a great nights sleep at Skip & Joanie’s home in Parker.
On Saturday morning, the group joined us at Skip’s place and we made a short trip down the highway to run Rio Lobo and President’s Run. These are both technical, narrow, challenging trails that offer lots of rocks that’ll reach out and grab you. In fact, most of the group that ran Rio Lobo left with a few new memories of the trail embedded in their paint. Saturday night featured steaks and Irish Car Bombs at a great birthday celebration for Glenn.
Sunday’s run consisted of Deliverance, another great local trail. While not as technical as Saturday’s trails, Deliverance’s waterfalls caused quite a few high-center issues with the longer rigs in our group.
It was a real pleasure to meet up with a group of four wheelers from the Temecula area. Their four TJ’s (3 Unlimiteds) did exceptionally well and we all hope to see them again at future runs.
Thanks to Steve for the photos (dumbass me forgot my camera).
